Dimanche au soleil

On décide de rester profiter du soleil aujourd'hui. Un peu de repos et un peu de boulot aussi pour moi.
Nos voisins s'ensablent en partant. André va les aider mais ils galèrent vraiment et s'enfoncent encore plus. Suzy vient donc à la rescousse. Elle les tire en marche arrière avec une facilité impressionnante. Pour nous remercier, ils nous offrent une bouteille de vin Moldave. Les remerciements montent en game à chaque dépannage. Aujourd'hui on passe la frontière polonaise. Il fait un temps magnifique. Quelques courses, plein d'eau et d'essence avant de nous arrêter à une cinquantaine de kilomètres de Varsovie. Petit spot au bord d'une rivière au calme. L'endroit est prisé par les locaux et on comprend pourquoi. Joli coucher de soleil et barbecue.Read more

Day 2
Einmal quer durch Polen...

Gut ausgeschlafen gab es den ersten Lungo aus der neuen Maschine..... Glamping sag ich nur 😁. Da wir gestern gegen Mitternacht angehalten haben, wurde uns erst heute morgen klar, wie schön wir abgeparkt hatten: direkt am Berzdorfer See. Nach einer kleinen Morgenrunde machten wir uns auf den Weg später als geplant, aber dafür ausgeschlafen. Nach kurzem Stopp an Apotheke ( man wird älter und das ist dann quasi Shopping!) und Bäcker waren wir schnell in Polen. Es wurde stetig wärmer und auch anstrengend. Mit Klimaanlage im Sommer kann jeder, ohne nur die ganz 💪 oder 🤡. Am Nachmittag versuchten wir einen Abstecher an einen nahegelegenen See, der aber supervoll war und wir keinen geeigneten Parkplatz für unseren "Großen" finden konnten. Gott sei Dank gibt es klimatisierte Rasthöfe, auf denen man eiskaltes Minz- Radler bekommt. Bissl schräge Kombi, aber konnte man gut trinken. Unser neuer Reiseführer ( Danke an Hilke für den guten Tipp) empfahl uns einen Stellplatz in einem kleinen ostpolnischen Dorf direkt an der Kirche. Da stehen wir nun und genießen die kühlere Luft am Abend. Nach einem Rundgang um die Kirche haben wir auch die Gewissheit, dass wir hier gut schlafen können - ordentlich behütet und beschützt 😉. Der Kapitän hat auch gleich noch ein standesgemäß Foto mit Maria bekommen für die Urlaubsgrüße an die Kollegen 😅. Morgen geht es früh nach Klaipeda und ich freue mich so auf die Ostsee 🌅.Read more

Kuna New Dehlil on ainuomane anne hakata südantlõhestavalt halisema üsna kohe pärast viimast pissilkäiku ja autosse istumist, siis tegime teel Krakovisse kannaka ja peatusime paljulubavate järvekeste ääres. Meile tundus, et tegemist on üsna tavaliste järvekestega. Kaldad kenasti niidetud, kalda servas telgid ja väikesed matkasuvilad. Tee oli kitsas ja parklasse jõudes saime aru, et siia on oodatud vaid kalamehed… Vaidlesime veidi auto parkimise üle nagu ikka ja kui see asi laabus (nagu ikka…), siis otsustasime siiski ühe tiiru teha. Üldiselt nägime kõigi nende tõsiste kalameeste seas oma roosa pluusi, lehviva salli, lillekesega pluusi nööbiaugus ja kahe koeraga üsna kohatud välja. Meid see ei heidutanud. Pead püsti ja sabad rõngas valisime väiksema järve, et selle ümber ring teha. Järvele lähenedes jäi pilk peale millelegi suurele ja valgele kalda ääres… Teine veel… Ja kolmaski. Surnud kalad, kõhud ülespoole. Pundunud nagu Shreki ja Fiona poolt täispuhutud konnad. Kohe plahvatavad pauguga. Ja kaldal istuvad mornide nägudega kalamehed ja püüavad samast järvelombist (veel) elusolevaid kalu… Ei saa aru. Lehk oli üsna väljakannatamatu ja selja taga kostuvad röögatused: “eee-i!!”, “Fee-lii!!”, “fuuuuuuu!!!”, “Jäkkk, Fe-lyy!!”, muutusid üha ähvardavamaks. Siis hakkas sadama. Öiste õudusunenägude vältimiseks otsustasime järjekordse kannaka kasuks. Ümberpöörd ja tagasi. Jälle sama kadalipp - “buäk, Fe-lyy!!”, “eieieieiei, Feee-ly!!”… Enne autonijõudmist oli mul muidugi vaja veel hakata prügikast otsima, et 2 pilgeni täis kakakotti korraliku inimesena ära visata. Kuigi see kõiks oleks võinud jääda kaladele söödaks sest olegem ausad - igatahes on see puhtam ja parem kui raibe naabriukse juures. Aga no olgu. Prügikasti ma ei lednud. Küll aga kaks nässust koerapoissi, kes endid nagu takjanupud Fofy ja Fely tuulde tinutasid. Tegime neile viisakalt selgeks, et autos rohkem ruumi ei ole ja raputasime nad lõpuks maha. Autosse jõudsime peaaegu kuiva nahaga. Floksi ja New Dehli olid rahul, meie ka vist. Sõidame edasi.Read more

Our farewell to Warsaw

And this is it... Our last day in the city is a relaxed day. The families that host our students were so kind to bring them to the train station in Malkinia. More tears were shed and after long hugs, a lot of waving and some drawing on the train window, off we go back to Warsaw and to the Jewish ghetto for a bit more insight about it.
The rest of the day was relaxing and easy going. All went well and all our plans succeeded!

Porto - Brussels - Warsaw - Brok

The day began with the first adventure. At four in the morning we are all ready to begin our journey, but, hold on ... there is no transfer. Call after call has always the same answer: the phone number you want to contact has no active voicemail ... ten minutes later, a sleepy Mr André Silva responds ... it seems that he was not notified, or the service was cancelled, or something else .... After ten more minutes there he comes behind the wheel of a gigantic bus which makes us all laugh about - seven people for a seventy people capacity bus. After all his excuses we left for Atafona to get a 9-seater van which, to add to the delays, was without diesel. We finally left towards Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport at 4:40. Fortunately, these three hours in advance for the flight are enough not to panic as we see the huge queue awaiting us at the airport security check. From now on everything is mice and smooth with the first lesson of the day - how to move around an airport.
Already in Brussels the waiting time between flights goes fast. Everybody is having fun playing Uno and all are happy for the next leg that takes us to Warsaw Modlin Airport.
On arrival we still have to wait a while for our Polish hosts who will take us to Brok. It is here, in a restaurant with typical Polish food, that we meet the families of the students who will host the students from our school. For me, it's time to meet good friends. For my fellow travelers it's all brand new, ready to be used! It is good to see this anxiety that will end up in tears of longing, later this week.Read more

Don't try to stay in Polland wherever you want, we already started cooking dinner when we were joined by a bit shady man. So we just quickly ate and run away. 🙈
