Decided to do the coastal route to Applecross, which was we imagine slightly easier than the Pass, which will be tomorrow's game. A beautiful drive at the end looking across to Raasay and Skye. Called in at the Applecross Walled Garden for a coffee but sadly they were closed so just had a little wander around the garden and admired the herd of Highland coos in front of the house. Stopped for a drink in the Applecross Inn instead and a short walk. We had decided to book overnight in the campsite to break the journey a bit and have a shower etc. A nice peaceful afternoon and a sit out in the sun with finally a lovely sunset. Just adjacent to the site is an excavated area which time team had worked on of a broch, an iron age 2000 year old round house along with a modern replica . It is 9.40 and still not dark. A lovely evening.もっと詳しく
