PCT 2023 - Day 46

The one with the emotional tap, nail polish and being followed.
📍 Location: ended up in Santa Clarita (miles from the PCT!).
💰 Money: Another $60 on fuel and $10 on a Subway.
🛌 Sleep: Slept well in the van last night. I love looking at the stars through the window. I need to keep a window open though as condensation was bad this morning.
THE STORY SO FAR..
🛌 Woke up to a leak in the van! Everything was wet. One of the water bottles had somehow sprung a leak and the carpet in the van was sopping wet (good job I’m sleeping on my air mat as I was dry as a bone!). I take my time and get everything out of the van and lay it out in the morning sunshine. I open all the doors and leave the van to dry which won’t take long. It’s already getting warm.
✌️ An emotional goodbye to four hikers as they head out into the Sierras. Quite a few people are taking up the challenge and I admire their decision. They all have their ice axes and bear canisters strapped to their packs. I wonder how the Codgers are getting on?
🍳 I order blueberry pancakes with bacon (I miss proper UK bacon!). It takes over 1.5hrs before I’m eating the pancakes but I’m in no hurry.
🙌 10.32am - OMG! A big surge of emotion wells inside of me as one person starts clapping and then a roar of applause. I see a bright yellow shirt and a long grey beard walk into the car park. It’s my good friend Disco. Closely followed by the man who knows his beer…. The wonderful Miles. I try filming but all I want to do is hug them both. I run down the drive and embrace them, high fives all the way. I’m so proud of these guys. They are both grinning from ear to ear and there is a tear in Discos eyes. I can see that this means a lot to him as well. Miles tells me that Bloom is not far behind. She should be here by lunchtime as he saw her this morning and she’s only 9 miles away.
👏 👏 11.42am - Here she is! It’s Bloom! This time I didn’t even try to record. I just leapt up from my chair and ran down the steps to greet my good friend Bloom. I know the elevation was tough on this last section and she would have gritted her teeth to get through it. Bloom is one strong lady with the determination of an ox and a heart of gold. She did it! 702 miles and she’s here at Kennedy Meadows. We embrace and I lead her to the table where everyone is sitting. I sit listening to their tales of the trail from the last few days. I’m so happy for them and I’m so glad that I’m here to see them in.
🖐️ 13.02 - After a sit down and a rest, I take Disco, Bloom and SilverFox (Brad) up to TCO (Triple Crown Outfitters). It’s next to Grumpy Bears Cafe and is about 2 miles Ip the road. I’ve been giving roses back and forth to here for the last few days. While Bloom and Disco are inside collecting bear canisters and looking for new shoes, Brad and Miles join some other hikers on the picnic table outside and have their nails painted. Yep! It’s hilarious as the very manly Brad (SilverFox) has one hand painted Silver and the other painted blue. As he poses for a photo he looks at me and says “I’ve not had my nails painted since the kids were small!”. Miles (who is 26 years old) has a blue colour on his. He laughs and says “what happens on trail, stays on trail!” Disco emerges from the store and sees the boxes of different coloured nail polish. He can’t resist and sits down to paint his nails with a mix of blue and yellow, to match his shirt! The only person not to paint their nails is Bloom.
1.35pm - Everyone masked their way over to Grumpys for something to eat. I’m still stuffed from the pancakes so I tell them I’ll join them in a bit and I sit in the car to update my blogs. I had no intention to continue writing but I’m glad I’m doing this now as these stories are also part of the journey. I’ve updated the last two days and as I get out the car Miles comes running over. “They are still eating inside. Have I got time to touch up my nails as this one is scratched” he said, holding up a finger. I smiled and said “no worries”, see you in a while. He runs back to TCO in search of the blue nail polish. 😂
🚗 3pm - It’s road trip time! After something to eat at Grumpy Bears we all make room for one more little hiker… Sketch! We now have me driving, Bloom, Disco, Brad (SilverFox) Miles & Sketch (yes, they all have seats and seatbelts!). Bakersfield… here we come!
❤️ 4pm - I’m enjoying this road trip. The chatter is non stop and we all sing along to Tainted Love in loud voices. We reminisce about the trail as we drive back through places we recognise such as Tehachapi and the wind turbine farms. For me, this is the perfect way to say goodbye to people I care about.
😘 6pm - We arrive in Bakersfield and I pull into the car park of The Best Western. Everyone is staying here so it makes life a bit easier. Im crap at goodbyes and I can feel my eyes welling as Disco gives me the biggest hug. I’ve walked with this crazy dude since day one and it’s hard to say goodbye. He is writing a daily blog so I’ll follow his journey onwards with enthusiasm. “You take care” I say with a lump in my throat. “See you on Facebook. And perhaps we can meet up when you are on a Camino next year!” He says with a smile. I can see he’s also a bit emotional. “That would be amazing” I reply.
Miles gives me a quick hug (he’s not an overly huggy person) so I’m privileged to receive one from him. Then Brad and Sketch do the same. Sketch is such a kind and gentle guy. A mere youngster who loves to sketch characters in his little book (hence his trail name). He’s sketched a little character in my photo book which is a nice keep sake for me.
I follow Bloom to her room. She is letting me have a quick shower and a coffee before I head back out on the road. Needless to say, Bloom has been a special walking partner on this trip and saying goodbye was tough. She’s from the UK and lives in London so we agree to meet up when she is home. As I walk away from the hotel, back to the car, I have a feeling of emptiness. Everyone else is planning the next stage of their journey and I’m now heading back towards the airport. I have a bit of a heavy heart.
🌙 My plan is to drive to the La aqueduct and meet hikers who are night hiking the section. A bit like Mr President did for us but without the pizza. It’s a good hours drive from Bakersfield, but that’s ok. I’m in no rush.
🛻 8.14pm - I’m going to be honest here, tonight I was a bit scared. As I drive out of Bakersfield (a very large town) I took the interstate 5 for over an hour. I stopped at a petrol station and grabbed a Subway and then carried on. As I got nearer to the Aqueduct where I had planned to do some night trail angeling, an old truck followed me for over 5 miles with his headlights shining in my eyes via my mirror. I slowed down to 45mph and he still didn’t overtake me. These roads are long and there were no restrictions so I’m not sure what he was playing at. He had plenty of opportunities to overtake but instead he stayed right up my rear end and it was very intimidating. Eventually, I pulled over into a lay-by and thankfully he just continued driving. I was spooked enough to think that doing trail magic, on country roads in the middle of nowhere at night was perhaps not my smartest move! So I kept driving. I drove by Hiker Town, where everyone was sleeping and no lights were on, so continued in to Lake Hughes. I smiled as I passed the Rock Inn which looked very busy and noisy! and had a row of shiny motorbikes outside. At this point I pulled over to have a think of what I’m going to do.
Knowing that the fire station is not that far, I decided that I would camp in my van there and I’ll do trail magic from the fire station tomorrow morning. I plugged it into Google and it was another 27 mins away. I’m now very tired and it’s dark but I trudge on.
🔥 9.25 pm - I’m at the Fire Station but there are no PCT hikers here and it looks like they have some sort of event going on in the station hall. I’m not sure what to do now. I park in a lay-by instead as there are cars in all the spots at the fire station. Each time a car zooms by my van shakes. I get out of the car to have a quick wee and I see a sign “no parking at any time”. Shit! What now?
🚗 I get back in the driving seat and switch the car on. I just keep driving but I’m now not feeling very confident about staying in my van. It’s gone 10pm and I can feel my eyes are getting scratchy, but I need to concentrate on these winding roads. I have no service on my phone so I have no idea where I’m going, but I keep driving. To keep me awake I lower the window and drink the hot chocolate they I purchased from Subway a few hours ago which is no longer hot.
💡 10.20 pm - I see lots of lights in the distance. It looks like a big town. At the first convenient place I pull over and check my phone. Yey! I have service.,Ok, I can now see where I am, Santa Clarita. I’ve pulled up outside a country club on a quiet road. In front of me is a family car with a caravan behind. There are also a few other cars here and it’s a lit up area. Do I look to see if there is a hotel in the area or shall I kip here for the night?
Thanks for listening to my rambles. Phase two of this journey is a whole other adventure!

PCT 2023 - Day 47

The one with the French Back Road, the long wait, and driving at 7000ft in the fog!
📍 Location: Cabazon (I10) again!
💰 Money: $47 dollars for fuel. $10 for a cheeky MacDonlads breakfast.
🛌 Sleep: I ended up just crashing in the van outside a very posh country club! I slept ok although I did wake up mega early (3.30am) and then struggled to get back to sleep.
THE STORY SO FAR..
🌄 7am - I’m dressed but I now need a wee and I can’t really go outside! I’m parked by a posh Country Club on a quiet suburban road. I check Google maps and there is a MacDonalds just down the road! Perfect! I can use the facilities, have some breakfast and make a plan for the day.
🍟 8.30am - I enjoyed a sausage and egg McMuffin and a very large coffee while putting together my plan for the day. I’ve decided to drive to Cabazon and the I10 as I know it was very difficult to get a ride from there and the walk into the I10 underpass was hell! (Windy and sandy). It’s 2hrs from where I am now, so I should be there by lunchtime which is good timing. I need to fuel up the van with petrol (not diesel!) and then I’ll be on my way.
🏔️ 11.30 am - The drive was long but very straight forward. Wow! I’d forgotten how intimidating Mount San Jacinto is! This area is stunning with the snow capped mountain ranges and vast wind turbines.
🚊 As I’m travelling down the I10, about 2 miles from the PCT trailhead I spot a hiker who is walking along the train track to my far right. He’s heading in the same direction so I assume he’s walking back to the trail head. It looks like there is a dirt road that follows the train track. I take the next exit and see a small slip road that leads to the dirt track. I drive along this track with the trains going by on my left. Finally I see him in the distance. As I get closer I wave and he waved back. Pulling over I let the window down “are you a PCT hiker?” I ask. In a strong French accent he replies “yes, I am wanting to get to the I10, it’s about 3 miles from here”. He looks very tired. “I open the doors and tell him to hop in”. On the short three mile journey back to the PCT crossing he tells me his trail name is “Back Road”. He arrived at the I10 last night with no water and no food. He waited until 7pm for a ride but no one came, so he had no option but to walk to town (6.5 miles). The dirt road was safer than the Interstate above. He then had the bright idea of hopping on a train trailer just like a stowaway! “It was not so fast so was not dangerous” he reassured me. “I always find a back road on the trail” he says with a smile. I’m not sure where he slept last night. He was so excited to see me and so very grateful for the lift. When we stopped I gave him some cookies and a Gatorade. I thought he was going to cry with joy. He asked for a selfie and told me that this was his very first trail magic. That’s nearly over 200 miles with no trail magic. It makes me appreciate the magic I received even more. Plus, I know that there will be less hikers the more I travel South but even if I make a difference to one hiker then that’s a good day.
❤️ I remember this section being one of the most difficult to get a ride, so I’ll stay here all day and see who else turns up. I’m loving this trail angel life.
🚗 2.30 pm - I’m three hours in and sweating in the heat. I’ve not seen any other hikers since BackRoad this morning. I’m not good at just sitting around so I’ll go for a drive, find somewhere to buy a coffee and then come back.
☕️ 3.30 pm - I’m back and hopefully I haven’t missed anyone. I went to Starbucks, grabbed a coffee and ate some cheese & crackers with apples and grapes. I miss fruit!! I then had a drive around Cabazon as I went straight to Nitsy’s house the last time I was here.
⭕️ As I approach Cabazon retail park a panic arises within….. what’s that? A roundabout? Surely not? I’ve been moaning about the stop signs and have been telling everyone how much more efficient a roundabout is. My brain went all loopy as we are going around a double roundabout THE WRONG WAY! It freaked me out and I ended up going around it three times before I could get off!
🚆 4pm - I’m now back at the PCT trailhead. The trains going by are incredibly loud when they honk their horns. I remember Bloom telling me how terrible it was to camp in this spot as she didn’t get much sleep (I see what she means!). I text Bloom to say where I am and how on earth did she sleep here! She messaged back instantly and let me know that she was on a train heading North and the trail family have stuck together. Their next chapter seems to be going smoothly so far.
As I’ve got good service I search around for a good place to stay tonight and also make a plan for tomorrow.
🥱 6pm - I give up. I’ve been sitting here since 12 noon (with exception to popping to Starbucks) and I’ve not seen another hiker all day. I had messaged the local trail angel Facebook page earlier to say I’ll stay here until 6pm. I walk down to the underpass and leave two large bottles of water and some Gatorade. Hopefully that will put a smile on someone’s face tomorrow.
I need to buy some long trousers for the plane ✈️ next week as I was freezing on the way over and there is a Supercentre Walmart not far from here..
👖 6.30 pm - I skipped Walmart as I saw a sign for a massive store called “Ross - Dress for less”. It’s a bit like TK Max with branded clothes at reduced prices. I only want a pair of jeans for the flight so this will do nicely. I spot a nice pair on the rack at size 10 but they look huge. I googled “what is size 10 dress size in the US” and apparently I’m a size 6! I pick a pair of Rachel designer jeans (apt name) quickly try them on and they fit well. Done ✅. That’s my sort of shopping!
⛰️ Next stop is Idyllwild! I drive “Angelica” (the new name of my van) up the winding mountain pass. My ears start popping as we climb higher and higher. I stop a few times to take photos of the views. This is a very different experience than walking it, and I’m quite enjoying the journey. Once I get over 6000ft I’m suddenly driving through thick fog and visibility is poor. Angelica looks after me and her lights come on automatically. Together we weave our way through the fog, going no more than 20 mph. I’m nervous as there are no barriers and steep cliffs to my right. Eventually the road starts to make a descent and I realise that I’ve been holding my breath. The fog is lifting and I then suddenly I recognise “Black Mountain Road” where me, DinkyDi and Disco were dropped off a few weeks ago. This is the snow section where I lost one of my microspikes. Blimey, it seems like a lifetime ago!
🏕️ 8.30pm - I arrive at the Campground but it’s fully booked. Ah! It’s Saturday and it hadn’t dawned on me that there may not be any room at the inn. I drive around and then find a quiet corner in the car park of The Idyllwild Inn. I’ve got tinted windows so I think I’ll be fine here. It’s smack bang in the middle of town and I can hear music playing from the bar across the road. I’ve already seen hikers walking down the street with pizza which makes me smile. This is home for he night.
🌙 10pm - Air bed deployed, quilt set up and Jim jams are on. It’s Sunday and the bars are now closed. Snuggled up in my bed I finish watching the film about the kids stuck in the cave “Thirteen Lives” then I fall into a lovely deep sleep.
Night night.
Thanks for listening to my rambles.

You truly ARE an angel!. I’ve been following Adventure Geek for a couple a years and was so excited to watch your hike. I’m just some random subscriber, but I’m so so proud of you. I think this is the best outcome ever. I think you are wonderful. Congratulations on the best PCT adventure EVER! Safe travels home. [Chris]

JuliadohertyHey Chris, thank you for following along. It’s been an epic journey for sure. I was disappointed that I didn’t quite make it by foot to Kennedy Meadows but I did enjoy this last week. I dropped off the rest of the trail angel stuff at a food bank in San Diego today and I’ll be flying home tomorrow. Are you a YouTube subscriber or a newsletter subscriber? Just curious

A YouTube subscriber from the desert, in Arizona. I love to watch your hikes in the cooler temperatures of the U.K. and to see all the cool gadgets from “ what’s in the box”. [Chris]

PCT 2023 - Day 48 - my last blog

The one with the dinosaurs, the sea, a tennis match and a final farewell.
📍 Location: Idyllwild to Laguna Beach.
💰 Money: $10 for breakfast at The Red Kettle. Grilled chicken sandwich $18. Then I splurged on a gorgeous chicken Caesar salad with a glass of Chardonnay $48!
🛌 Sleep: Not bad at all! I must have dropped off around 10.30 pm and didn’t wake up until gone 5am.
THE STORY SO FAR..
🍳 7.25 am - I’m sitting in the Red Kettle Cafe eating oats made with water rather than milk (it’s rather gross if I’m honest). I add some “half and half” cream to it, and ask for some honey. Now that’s a bit better. The place is quiet and I scratch a little dogs ears who is on the table next to me (actually, he is in the floor, but you know what I mean!). He is wearing a harness that reads “emotional support”. Kathy (the owner of the Red Kettle) walks in and the little dog goes crazy with excitement and chasing his tail. His owner says “be patient little one and she will be here in a moment”. Kathy then comes over and the dog starts barking then waits patiently at her feet for a treat. It’s such a heart warming scene. This must be a regular occurrence. Kathy then gives the dogs owner a hug and then tootles back to work.
The atmosphere is very different from the last time I was here. There are no hikers around, just locals and holiday makers.
😇 What are the plans for today? I’ll hang around here for a little while and see if I can help with rides back to the trail, but I’m now thinking that my angel days may be over. The last PCT permit was issued on 31st May. So if people did start that late then I should still be seeing a few hikers come through but I know my chances of catching them are slim.
☕️ Sitting in the Red Kettle I make a deal with myself. I’ll drive to Paradise Valley Cafe and see if there are any hikers there and offer rides. If I see nobody at all then I’m going to take three days off which will just be for me. I’ll head to Newport Beach (2hrs from Idyllwild). I can stay there tonight and then make my way down the coast back to San Diego. It will be great to see the sea. “What do you think Angelica?” I say to the car! “Fancy a trip to the seaside?”.
😢 9.30am - I’m at Paradise Valley Cafe and again there are no hikers here. When I arrived at 8am just a month ago it was rammed with hungry hiker trash! Now, the hiker box outside is nearly empty and the car park is full of motorbikes and nice looking cars. There are a few bounce boxes in the hallway but nothing like it was. I go inside and have a cup of tea and wait for about an hour before making the decision to move on. I thought I’d enjoy the solitude of being on my own, but today I’m feeling a bit melancholy.
🐴 10.50 am - As I’m driving along I see a statue of a horse high up on the left. Where the interstate has been cut out of the hill, I now see more clearly that there is one horse on the left bank and three on the right. It’s very cleverly done as if they are jumping the interstate. I pull over to snap a terrible photo!
🦖 Two minutes later I’m driving along and see a dinosaur on the hill! Bizarre! As I get nearer there are many more! It’s some sort of sculpture theme park, in the middle of nowhere! Again, I pull over to take a quick video and photos. This is a bit random!
⛴️ 12.35 pm - I’m now in what feels like a huge city. Newport Beach oozes money! I’m following a Porsche and a Lamborghini over takes me (noisily). To my right is the marina which is laden with expensive yachts and sail boats. I find a parking space on the main road and see a sign for “Park Mobile App”. Great! I have this app so that will work. Nope! The UK version is not compatible over here and I’m also unable to download any US only apps. I try to book via the website but that keeps giving me an error. I have a choice, get a fine, or move my car.
💰 So, I’m back in the car and driving out of the city via the Pacific Coastal Highway. I see a sign for Crystal Cove / beach and decide “that will do”. I need to stretch my legs. I pay the $20 entrance fee which includes parking and access to the trails and beaches.
🚌 There is a shuttle bus that takes you down to the beach where apparently there is a cafe. I have noodles in the van but I’m craving fresh fish which I’m sure will be available by the sea. I wait a few minutes at the little shuttle bus stop and a big old fashioned bus turns up. I’m the only one here (probably because it’s raining!). I say hi to the driver and then sit at the back of the bus listening to 1950’s piped music. It’s a pleasant 10 min ride to the beach and the sea looks inviting and peaceful. When I disembark, the beach is a far cry from inviting and peaceful! There are people everywhere. I can smell hot food in the air and instinctively follow my nose! “Sorry ma’am there is a two hour wait. Would you like me to put your name down?”. I shake my head and tell her I’ll find something else. The place was heaving (again, probably because it was drizzling). I take a stroll along the beach and come across an information board that explains more about Crystal Cove. The cove is where Hollywood filmed some rather famous movies. Herbie Rises Again, Beaches and Treasure Island to name a few. The sound of my stomach rumbling breaks me away from the beauty of the sea and the cove. I scour the area and see umbrellas up high on the coastal road. I start the climb and I can feel my achillies stretching but it feels good to do a little bit of exercise. I overtake two youngsters and say quietly to myself “you’ve still got it, Jukebox”
🍔 Reaching the umbrellas, it turned out to be The Shake Shack where they mainly sold milkshakes, but also did grilled sandwiches and burgers. This place was rammed as well. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and salad with a hot tea, but there was nowhere to sit. So I found a rock! (Where’s my little chair when I need it!). The coastal highway is right behind me with cars zooming by and I’m on a rock looking out to sea, but not really feeling relaxed.
🥾 There are too many people and I feel a bit suffocated. I scoff down my sarnie and then go for a walk. Hopefully that will clear my head a bit.
🌊 I walked along the coastal path for about an hour and I’m starting to feel better. There is something therapeutic about the sea air and the sound of the waves against the shore. The sky has cleared and it’s now quite warm. My rain jacket is wrapped around my waist and I decide to double back to the little bus.
👰♀️ There is a hen party waiting for the bus and they are trying to take a group photo. I offer to help and get them to do silly things like “dance like a chicken and all point to the bride”. They are a bit worse for wear and it’s only 3 pm. I hope they smile at the photos when they are sober tomorrow. 😂
🎵 It’s the same driver and now we have Frank Sinatra “I’ve got the world on a string” playing. The driver is tapping the steering wheel in time to the music and I say “good tune, I know this one”. He nods and replies “you have good taste”.
🍹 Sitting behind the hen party girls who are complaining about paying $1.50 for the bus ride to the car park I smile as I earwig their conversation. The hen can hardly see where she is going through the veil on her head and the others have collected cocktail umbrellas, which I assume is how many cocktails they have consumed, stuck in their hair. It’s entertaining to say the least.
🚙 3.30 pm - I’m now back at the car. There is a strict no camping rule here so I can’t quietly park in the corner. The gates lock at 10 pm, so I need to look at an alternative. I have good service here so I try proper campgrounds first. Everywhere seems to be fully booked and I refuse to pay $60 at the campground that has spaces, with no showers and a pit toilet!!
☀️ Belting up, I push the start button and decide to see where the road takes me. As I leave the city of Newport Beach it’s not long before I arrive at Laguna Beach. This place seems more welcoming and I’m getting a good vibe. It more “Californian” if that makes sense? There are guys playing volleyball on the beach, people with roller skates and skateboards. Shops selling ice creams and surf boards. And then I see a sign…. Dana Point. Dana was my saviour on the trail so I see this as a positive move. Indicating right I find myself in a gorgeous free car park just above the ocean. There are a few RV’s here and it’s spacious. I park up and then go for a little walk to explore. Yep, I’ll stay here tonight.
4.10 pm - 👋 I just get back to Angelica (van) when my phone goes ping. “Hey mum, it’s gone midnight here and I can’t sleep as it’s so hot”. I message Rachel back saying that I have 5g and did she fancy a chat on FaceTime? We spoke for around 45 mins and it was so lovely to see her and hear of tales of her job and home life. She’s doing brilliantly with her pull up challenge and is about 2cm away from her goal. Alfie was asleep next to her dreaming of something or other. His little fit were chasing something in his sleep. Oh… how I miss that gorgeous little dog.
🍷 I’m aware that she has work tomorrow so I say goodnight. I’m now in a good place (mentally and physically). I set my bed up for the night and lay my Jim jams on my pillow. I lock up the car before heading back along the coast in search of a little bar when I can have a glass of wine and look at the sea (Shirley Valentine, eat your heart out!).
🎾 7 pm - It feels good to stretch my legs and before I know it I’m in a quaint little area where an art market is happening. Music is playing from the various bars and I take my time as I walk, just soaking up the atmosphere. My tummy rumbles to remind me that I’ve not eaten since lunch time and then I spot a lovely looking bar/restaurant which is showing the tennis (Australian open). I take a seat at the bar so that I have a good view of the screen and order a big glass of cold Chardonnay and a chicken Caesar salad. I’m in heaven! Good food, excellent wine and tennis! Now I’m officially on holiday. Nick Kyrgios is a talented tennis player, even if he does have a stinky attitude. I made that glass of wine last until the end of the match and then walked the 2 miles back to the van. I’d already set up my bed so I was all set when I got back. I brushed my teeth, changed into my Jim jams and reflected on the day.
💭 This last week has been perfect. It has given me time to decompress and have some solitude before I head home. I’ve had some ideas for the business which still need some work but I can see a future. For now, I can’t see me walking another long distance trail but I do see a campervan in the pipeline with lots of adventures.
As I snuggle down into my quilt I bid you a goodnight. I’ve loved writing these blogs but now it feels right to end the journey here. Over the next couple of days I’ll continue to follow the Pacific Coastal Highway to San Diego. I’ll see some of you in the coming weeks on an AG walk and others I’ll see online. I’ve read every single comment on Facebook, YouTube and Find Penguins and I’m humbled that you all seemed to have enjoyed the adventure. The comments are heart warming. Thank you 🙏
A big thank you to the AG walk leaders who have kept my business afloat for me whilst I’ve been away. Also thanks for the last few donations that have come in Davina & Alison - I enjoyed that chicken Caesar salad and wine with your funds 🙏.
❤️ Thanks you to my fantastic husband who has put up with my adventures on and off for over 22 years and a final thank you to my wonderful daughter Rachel. Rachel is an old head on young shoulders and has given me so much encouragement and support that she makes me incredibly proud. I’m looking forward to giving them both a huge hug and I’ll try not to cry at the airport. ❤️❤️
Signing off for the last time.
