Heading for Nelson to do some petsitting but dont really want to try and find FC's in the city so we stopped at canvastown to wait out the time before we go. Its only 40mins to Nelson from here.
Parked at the back of the Pelorus Tavern, a freedom camp at Canvastown. There was a woman who in the old days went down to do her washing in the river beside us and noticed a HUGE gold nugget she told someone and it caused a major gold rush in the area Hence the name Canvastown as there were tents everywhere. It was the biggest nugget found in this area.En savoir plus
