Good journey down to Portsmouth. Stopping the night at Port Solent a lovely new marina with plenty of bars and restaurants. Our first walk of the holiday!

Had a great day at Portsmouth round the dockyard. Had a tour around the Alliance submarine, climbed aboard the Victory and the Warrior, and visited the Mary Rose before embarking the ferry to Spain.Читать далее

Couple of days stopping off and walking the coastline paths and finding quiet bays. The sea has gone from flat calm to surfing waves so no hope for my fish dinner from fisherman Mark!

Arrived at campsite for our final 4 days for the 80th celebration of the d day landings. Just got set up and aircraft flew over. Hercules and Dakota. We are right on beach , lovely.
Merville batteries

Cycled to the Merville batteries, the German stronghold which were an important capture prior to the d day landings. Then we cycled through a nature reserve and back to camp. Planes flying over again.
