    Aigas Community Forest is a beautiful community-led conservation woodland in the Scottish Highlands, just a short distance west of Inverness. Covering around 800 hectares, the forest was purchased and is managed by the local community to promote biodiversity, education, and sustainable land use.

    The landscape features ancient pinewoods, wetlands, small lochs, and a network of well-marked walking trails. Bumblebees and raspberries included :D

Ducking under an umbrella, I wandered through the drizzle-soaked Royal Mile and made a quiet stop at the Palestine Museum & Cultural Centre—a powerful, intimate space filled with resilience and stories.

    Warmed by the thought, I slipped into a tiny café tucked behind an antique bookshop, where the windows fogged up and the coffee steamed strong. A table by the window, a flaky pastry, and the sound of rain on glass—Edinburgh at its coziest.
