  • Roadside Wonder

    December 28, 2025 in the United States ⋅ 🌬 45 °F

Somewhere between destinations, we found Carhenge in Amarillo, Texas 🚗✨
A reminder that the best parts of the journey aren’t always planned—sometimes they’re just waiting on the side of the road.

  • Ozark Highlands Trail

    December 30, 2025 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 36 °F

Our first official day in the Ozarks of Arkansas started off with a five mile hike along the start of the Ozark Highlands Trail and looping back on Sheppard Springs. Walking through the deciduous forest brought me back to playing in the woods as a child, though a bit rockier than the piedmont of NC. The serenity and calmness being broken by the four paws trotting through the leaves in front of me and my two left feet tripping over rock, root, and limb; with the occasional exclamation of "Easy! Easy!" as I was pulled along the trail. We stopped to admire frozen waterfalls, a couple random fireplaces, and the bright green moss covered rocks and trees. The only thing missing was the other third of our wandering trio that we left behind at our home on wheels to rest and recover.Read more

  • Ending 2025 the right way!

    December 31, 2025 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 54 °F

Hanging in the hammock with Olive keeping me company while Peter works his magic on the griddle 🥓☕
The smell of bacon in the air, a white chocolate mocha warming my hands, and nothing but nature making noise around us.
    Slow. Simple. Sweet.
If this is how we’re closing out 2025, I’d say we did it right. 🌲💙

  • Found Tom Sawyer & His Front Porch View

    January 1 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 57 °F

Well would you look at that—we found Tom Sawyer and his campground. Set up right on the mighty Mississippi, where the water moves slow, the air feels a little nostalgic, and it’s easy to imagine barefoot adventures and river stories drifting by.

Sometimes the road hands you a chapter you didn’t know you needed. This one feels pretty darn sweet. 💙✨

  • Rainy Miles and River Goodbyes

    January 2 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 54 °F

Rain on the river. Wheels on the road.
The Mississippi fades behind us as the East pulls us closer. Monterey today, North Carolina soon… and hearts getting louder the closer we get.

  • A Cozy Stop on the Way East

    January 2 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 50 °F

Pulled into Monterey, Tennessee for the night and honestly… this stop understood the assignment. 🐻
Time for lots of laundry, a nice hot shower, and that deep sigh you take when the wheels finally stop turning.Read more

  • Go Chasing Waterfalls

    January 3 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 45 °F

I'm not sure what TLC was talking about, I've never come across a waterfall that wasn't worth the hike to. So take the unbeaten path, no matter how difficult it may be, and embrace the beauty of nature. Because in the end, we're all so small, and these little moments make for a much bigger picture.

  • One Last Mountain Paws 🐶🐾🥰

    Jan 3–6 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 59 °F

Western NC, you really showed up. From Saturday through Tuesday we soaked in mountain air, amazing food, and a surprise visit with my aunt and uncle while Merlin and Olive ran wild. Lots of RV life talk, lots of laughs, and zero desire to rush anywhere. Now we’re headed to Sanford to end this journey. Sad it’s wrapping up—but beyond grateful for a month of memories with Peter and Olive. Next stop: family time and all the hugs 🫶Read more

  • When a book ruins you (in the best way)

    January 6 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 63 °F

📚 Just finished one of those books—the kind that pulls you in fast, drags you through every emotion, and refuses to let go. I couldn’t get enough, and now everything else on my reading list feels… inadequate. Anyone else need a recovery period after a really good book? 😅Read more

  • The Last Sunset of the Journey 😔😔

    January 6 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 59 °F

🌅 We finally made it to the final destination of our holiday travels. Worn out in the best way—ready for good food, long hot showers, clean cozy pajamas, and fuzzy socks, tired.

Tonight feels a little bittersweet. Our month of traveling is coming to an end, and it’s hard not to feel the sadness settle in with the sunset. Every mile just confirmed what we already know deep down… all we want is this life. Full-time travel. Open roads. Simple days. 🚐🐶🐾🦴🥰💜💙Read more
