    January 16, 2017 in Indonesia ⋅ ⛅ 24 °C

Es sehr entspannende Abschluss vo dem Trip.😊

    _____

The day we arrived in Padang we had the afternoon off. But we basically just hung around in our nice hotelroom, because we were so tired and lazy.😅😁
The next day we chartered a little boat and drove to 2 islands off the coast. Just to lie in the sun and snorkel a bit🌴☀🚣. A very lazy finish to this intresting and funny trip.🛫

De Rob, oise Englischi Tourkolleg het rekordmässig Biert trunke, was denn recht lustig gsii isch für alli andere 😂 und de Alans, oise tolli Tourguide isch grad no selber uf d Bühni go singe!

    _____

Today we visited the Canyon in Bukkitingi, together with a local guide. We came across about a dozen monkeys🙈 and watched them for a while.
When we finally managed to get away from the monkeys, we had a look at the old WW2 caves. The japanes built them here im 1942.
After that we walked through the countryside for about 2 hours with a magnificent view over the ricefields an the little villages.

In the afternoon we had a cooking class with the same guide and his wife.😊
We cooked and ate about 8 dishes.😜

    Bukkitingi

    January 13, 2017 in Indonesia ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

Nach 10 stündiger Busfahrt simmer am spate Namitag in Bukkitingi aacho, hend s'züüg is Hotel tah und sind es Restaurant für de Znacht go sueche. Eusi wahl isch schrecklich gsi😂😂.
S'Esse isch wahrschindli direkt usem Tüüfchüeler id Mikrowelle und denn halbgfroore uf eusi Teller.🤔 Naja
Nachem Esse simmer no e 2 stündigi traditionelli tanz Uffüerig go luege und mittanze😊😉.

    _____

After 10 hours in the bus we finally arrived at our hotel. We then went out for dinner. Our choice was terrible😂. It seems like they put the food from the freezer into the microwave and then half-frozen onto our plates.🤔

After that we watched a 2h traditional dance performance and even went onto the stage ourselves😉😊.

    January 11, 2017 in Indonesia ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

Aber was wends au anders mache, s git vermuetlich garkei richtigi Müllabfuhr da uf Sumatra...

    Samosir Island Exploring

    January 11, 2017 in Indonesia ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

    ____

We hired bicycles after breakfast and drove to a historic village, where the indiginous people of Samosir Island used to eat their prisoners. Including an english and an american missionary.

Our guide explained us everything. From feeding the prisoner for a week, seasoning them just before they beheaded them, to eating them raw. Using Rob as his prisoner😂.

After two hours on the bike we decided that it was way to hot to go on and went back to our hotel to exchange the bicycles with scooters😁.

With the scooters we drove almost to the top of the island, stopping here and there to take pictures.

Its definitly a place were i could stay a bit longer😄.

    Samosir Island

    January 10, 2017 in Indonesia ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

Zum Abschluss vom Tag simmer go !Pizza!

    ____

We took a boat from Parapat and made our way to Samosir Island. An Island in the giant Lake Toba. It has about the size of Singapore.
Our hotel was in the small township of Tuktuk and had a beautiful garden where we enjoyed he afternoon.
For dinner we went to a restaurant that besides pizza also served a lot of swiss dishes like Rösti and Älplermaggrone🇨🇭. A welcome alternative to Nasi Goreng 3x a day. 😉
