We had just gone to bed, not yet asleep. We’ve had some pretty windy nights in this campground but this was different. For a few seconds the trailer shook, like a big truck was driving by.

We arrived to Big Bend National Park. Official greeters welcomed us to our campsite. A band of javelinas marched through.
Went for a short walk up Boquillas canyon.

Crossed the Mississippi River this morning. Drove through Mississippi and will be in Alabama for a few nights.

Yesterday Paul went golfing in Tuscaloosa and I ran the riverfront path. He’s hoping for greener courses on the coast.

Took a wander around Savannah. Apparently they host the second biggest St Paddy’s day parade in the country. So lots of festivities this weekend and the parade on Monday.

Went to Huntington Beach state park for a 🏃♀️ while Paul golfed.
Saw some pelicans, egrets, herons, cormorants, lots of sandpipers, 2 minks and a dolphin.

Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel

For 23$, we saved ourselves 3h of driving. We took the 17.6 mile Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. There are two 1 mile long tunnels between the bridges.
