We went for a walk in the town of Carvoeiro and the Algar Seco, a coastal walk along the limestone cliffs weathered into tunnels, caves, pools and pinnacles.

Drove into the hills and walked around Monchique. Then drove up to a trailhead and crossed the Barranco do Demo (valley) using the suspension bridge

Yesterday we stayed local and just went for a couple walks. Hindsight, maybe we should have done an outing. Oh well. Today was our first day of rain. I managed to get out at 4pm for a dry run.

Wow…crazy! On the day we went there, we were told it wasn’t open for a couple more hours so we wound up having beers in the Square instead. So cool you got these pics…we had no idea!! Everything else is very familiar. We loved Faro and surrounding area. Enjoy!!

Went to another coastal town today called Albufeira. One of those days when the sun shines while it rains. Wait 5 minutes. And the weather will change.

Visited the fishermen’s village of Ferragudo. A hillside village with narrow cobblestone streets and colourful houses.
Met a Leonberger dog on the beach, along with some Westies 😀

Went for a 17k walk to Ponta da Piedade and beyond. Lots of sea caves and stacks, limestone cliffs and beaches.

Stayed local today exploring the boardwalk and beaches in the morning and the old town in the afternoon.

We arrived in Portugal yesterday. After our flight to Toronto and then on to Lisbon, followed by a 3.5h drive, we were exhausted. Paul had a nap while I went for a short walk before supper.
