Day 126: Exploring the City Center

The next day, we plunged into the hustle and bustle of Thessaloniki. The bus ride into town was cheap and easy once we found the right bus stop.
The city centre is loud, chaotic and smelly, but on the other hand it's also a nice combination of old and new. We found lots of modern buildings built around the ancient sites. There were great markets and lots to discover. The promenade was also a highlight, even though swimming isn't possible there.Baca selengkapnya

Aploma Beach

Day 127: Escaping the hustle and bustle

The next day, we went to Aploma Beach. It is a very long sandy beach with a small lighthouse, perfect for walking. Standing on the headland, you feel as if you are standing in the middle of the sea. The currents in the water should not be underestimated.Baca selengkapnya

Kerkini Lake

Day 129 : Animal watching

The next day, we went to Lake Kerkini. There, you can easily spot flamingos, pelicans and buffalo and observe them in their natural habitat. The idyllic lake is also a great place to go for a walk. It's a relaxing change from the hustle and bustle of the city.Baca selengkapnya
