  • Kotor

    21.–22. aug. 2025, Montenegro ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

    Day 49 - 50:

After a total of 5 days and many, many kilometres, we have had enough of the cold mountain weather and leave Durmitor National Park in the direction of the sea again.
    Next stop Kotor. :)
Kotor is a really small, beautiful and old town with lots of charm and flair. Definitely worth a visit. Even though it's hot, sometimes smelly, noisy and bustling, it's still pleasant to stroll through the small streets and let yourself get lost.

  • Budva

    22. august 2025, Montenegro ⋅ ☀️ 26 °C

    Day 50: Budva and surroundings

After more than 14 days, we decided to continue our journey. After another two days it was too crowded and congested at the Bay of Kotor. Our next stop on the list is Budva. It felt good to have sand under our feet for the first time, but the beach areas in the centre were completely overcrowded. We walked a few kilometres along the coast so that we could swim in peace in the evening.Les mer

  • Podgorica

    27. august 2025, Montenegro ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

    Day 55 : Podgorica

Today we took a look at the capital of Montenegro. Here, old fights against new. We didn't really like it, but we used the day to stroll around and have fun in the playgrounds xD
The church is definitely worth a visit. But we didn't feel like spending more than a day there.

  • Slano jezero

    1.–3. sep. 2025, Montenegro ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

    Day 60 - 62: Slano jezero

We were drawn to more scenic climes. So we drove into the interior of the country and found a nice spot on Salt Lake. It was an incredibly nice evening and a really great time with you guys 😜
    Thanks for the visit!

  • Tara River Canyon 2.0

    4.–5. sep. 2025, Montenegro ⋅ ⛅ 24 °C

    Day 63 - 64: It got wild

After the relaxed first few days, things got really wild and exciting. We left the paved roads and switched to trails in the mountains. First stop: Tara River Canyon. Of course, this looked familiar to us, but getting right down to the river was a real adventure and something completely new. After 7 kilometres of trail with gradients of up to 20% and hairpin bends as far as the eye could see, we finally reached the Tara!Les mer

  • Next place by river

    6.–8. sep. 2025, Montenegro ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

Day 65 - 67: Next wild stop right by the water

After just one night, we left the Tara canyon and continued towards the mountains near Podgorica. At first, we weren't allowed to do so because a construction site was blocking the road (we had a bad feeling on the way there because of all the construction vehicles 😂). However, we were able to continue at noon after the work was finished. The road took us through the beautiful mountain landscapes of Montenegro and in the afternoon we arrived at the Moraća River. Rocky, rough, ice-cold and beautiful 😍
We spent two wonderful days here with outdoor cinema, ice bathing, soaking up the sun and everything that goes with it. Pure relaxation.

  • Farma Magaraca Martinici

    7. september 2025, Montenegro ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

    Day 66: cuties ❤️

This donkey farm definitely touched our hearts. They are much smarter and cuter than you might think😍
Until 30 years ago, they were indispensable as farm animals, but today they are threatened with extinction. The Martinici donkey farm not only ensures the preservation of the species, but also uses the donkeys for therapeutic purposes, e.g. for children with autism. Furthermore, the farm is committed to recycling and sells/donates donkey milk for health and refinancing purposes.Les mer

  • Old olive tree

    8. september 2025, Montenegro ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

Day 67: Stop by a very old olive tree 🌴

Before heading to the sea, there was one last highlight on our bucket list: Montenegro's oldest olive tree, which is probably also one of the oldest in the world.
Of course, we also walked around it three times for love, health and happiness. Whether that works or not, who knows?

  • Olea Beach

    8.–11. sep. 2025, Montenegro

    Day 67 - 70: Back to ocean 🌊

After our time in the mountains, we longed for the sea and sandy beaches. We found the latter for the first time since our departure.
Miles of sandy beach as far as the eye could see. Beach walks at romantic sunsets included.Les mer

  • Shkodra

    12.–13. sep. 2025, Albania ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

    Day 71 - 72: First stop Albania - Shkodra

After our first night overlooking Shkodra, we decided to just let the day in Shkodra wash over us. It was a wonderful feeling, even though it often stinks, is very loud and simply seems run-down. At least the nightlife in the old town was super lively that night and a great experience :)Les mer

  • Teth

    14.–16. sep. 2025, Albania ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

Day 73 - 75: Mountain village of Teth

After all the hustle and bustle in Shkodra, we found ourselves in the Albanian Alps. The village of Teth is ideally located for exploring the Alps. And that's exactly what we did.Les mer

  • Place in the sand by the ocean

    16.–17. sep. 2025, Albania ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

Day 75 - 76: Unfortunately, more swamp than beach

After hours of driving on narrow mountain roads, we found our way back to the sea. Since it didn't seem sensible to drive Hugo onto the sandy beach, we parked a little further back. Unfortunately, there was more swamp than sandy beach there. We didn't feel like staying more than one night.Les mer

  • Bar Ledh

    17.–19. sep. 2025, Albania ⋅ ☁️ 26 °C

Day 76 - 78: Further along the coast

Just half an hour away, we found a really great beach, no swamp, hardly any trash, and an indescribably great bar—Bar Ledh. It's self-service there, and you pay afterwards. Great atmosphere and an incredible feeling of freedom. We stayed for two days.Les mer
