Phillip’s Island Australia

Phillip’s Island did not disappoint. Storms knocked out the power to the island but didn’t deter the Gallaghers. Found a nice bike rental operation open for business and set a course for the nature parks. Finding the first one closed moved on to the second. The staff was very friendly and let us wonder through the Koala Preserve free of charge. Great place to see rescued Koalas up close. Even found some Wallaby’s in the distance. The evening was topped off with the Penguin Parade. Every night the Blue Penguins come out of the surf and march in groups to their burrows in the dunes. No photography is allowed but they gave us some shots to share. Back to the ship by midnight!Läs mer
