Rainbow beach 🌈

First few nights alone were in rainbow beach
The main plan was surfing and surfing is what I did - albeit on a very slippery board
I stayed 3 nights and got 4 surf sessions in, including making a surf buddy staying at the hostel from Canada and also making friends with the locals, who were all longboarders, most notably a friendly guy from Devon called Ben
I went on one walk along rainbow beach
Other than that i bought a new book, finished my old one, had my own movie night and consistently went to sleep very earlyRead more

Noosa 🩷🩷🩷

Came here for the surf and it was 🤏 all week 😭😭😭
But instead I learned to long board 🏄‍♀️ and did that every morning Sunday - Wednesday with the friends i made in the hostel! - one time we were a group of 10+ people going out surfing together!!
In the afternoons we did a range of activities
Lots of volleyball, even in the rain
We hired a boat for a few hours which was amazing and tons of fun
We also walked to the fairy pools at high tide so they were all foaming from the waves and we saw lots and lots of dolphins - we also made it along to hell's gate
My last 3 days in noosa were very chill and the surf report said FLAT, which is was
I had a lovely beach day, reading, playing cards and ball, eating ice cream and watching the sunset with beers
The nightlife in nomads noosa is much busier so i partook in a silent disco (ish) and also dirty fico bingo which got very jolly!
And then we walked to the fairy pools again on both my last two days and took beautiful pictures and swam under the clear skyRead more

Brisbane again

Leah and i had planned to go to Moreton island for some snorkeling in the ship wrecks but unfortunately the ferry ride there was extortionate, so we changed our plan
Instead on Saturday we teamed up with Lachlan and went for a speedy walk up one fo the glass house mountains in the morning, then headed to Melany for an amazing brunch
Driving around we found all sorts of fresh fruit for sale on the roadside, and picked up some pineapples
We also went to the 'nursery' (garden centre) which was fun

Curry cousins in Warwick

We drive to Warwick to see Cathrine!
Stopping on the way for a tiny walk in a national park and we had the most amazing sunset just as we arrived, we also had kangaroos hopping across the road ahead of us! 🦘
A whole chilled out day in Warwick where we ate lunch at "gardens galore" home to the best pink caravan I've ever seen, as well as 4 baby goats 😍
I got my typhoid vaccination for Bali that afternoon too 👍
Both very early nights for me as I've been feeling quite ill and had nasty cramps, meant an early start on Thursday as we headed off the Byron bayRead more

Byron bay!!

Arrived in time for our kayaking with dolphins which wasn't as cool as we'd hoped, although we did see a lot of dolphins
Drinks cards and dinner high up in a balcony bar led to the piano bar which was so great!!!
Joe and Sol joined us there, and then sol got kicked out 😐
But turns out Joe and I have the same godmother which is crazy cool!!!!
Learnt a new game called Shuffle i think which is loads of fun and stayed out until 1:30 am 🤪
Friday in Byron was so chill, snorkeling 🤿 in the morning then brunch and a book store stop
Finished the day with an amazing sunset from the lighthouse and dinner and more cardsRead more

Seeing my godmother Libby was so so lovely!
We went to see an AFL match which was brilliant fun and apparently one of the best games of the season as it was so close in the end and both teams made a great comeback at times 🏈

Arrived here with dad and stayed at the girdis' for the first two night
Sunset with Nick at the top of a really tall skyscraper was beautiful and then during the day in Tuesday we went out onto the harbour on Peter's boat and Will - who happened to be in Sydney at the same time too - came with us! ⛵
I then moved to a hostel with will for my last two nights in Sydney, where I met the best people and drank a whole lot of goon

Last few days in Aus

I returned to the gold coast for my last few days before flying to Bali
I spent 3 mornings scuba diving and completed my open water padi diving certificate!
I got to see lots more of Ryan, Sam and the dogs which was lovely and we celebrated Eleanor's birthday on Monday 🎉
