Snowstorm for the northeast forced us to change flights. Got the bus at 6:15 to Logan and took off at 11 a.m.

We arrived at Queenstown via Air New Zealand, checked in to our hotel and sauntered around. Checked out Ferburger (reputed best burgers in town), had our dinner and drinks at Perky's floating bar, visited a wine bar which served wine and liquor by the glass and finished up with some desserts from Ferbakery (white chocolate cheesecake and a Boston cream donut which was far better than what you can get in Boston.)Læs mere

Cute little tourist town-former gold mining site. Town made up of former worker cottages and other buildings. Great breakfast at provisions eggs Benedict with greens in a vinaigrette. Bought a cute leather purse, merino top. Museum interesting too. Hardscrabble area with a compelling history that seems to align with westward frontier development.Læs mere
