On my final day in Brisbane, I went to the University of Queensland building at the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital for a surgical simulation day. After the introduction talk, we did some intramedullary nail insertion and femur plating. The next workshop was craniofacial plating. After that, we were able to do some laparoscopic surgery and finally did some skin flaps! I then walked down into Fortitude Valley, bought a keyring from the music shop and went to the Queen Street Mall for lunch. Finally, I returned to the hotel to grab my bags and headed to the airport, walking through Anzac Square. Once there, my bags were too heavy. I had to redistribute the weight across my bags and repack them. Once that was sorted, I went through security and went duty-free shopping!
