Setting sail

We all arrived at the marina at 3ish. After a quick safety demo and a test drive we set sail.
Weighing Anchor

After travelling up the river we moored at the anchor and got some dinner. After a quick drink we went to bed.
Setting sail again

Today we woke up and had some breakfast. After the morning checks we untied and set sale down the river.
Virgin Locks

After travelling for 2 hours we got to our first set of locks. We had some help getting down them but we managed to get the hand of it after the first 3!
LunchTime

After going through the first set of locks we stopped and had some pasta for lunch. Once we were all full we set off again
More Locks

After setting off we continued along the river through the second half of the locks. Once we were through the locks, it was plain sailing on to Tamworth.
Running aground

After cruising along we pulled in to check the propeller as it was making a funny noise. When we tried to set off again we found that that we had run aground. After some moving around and pushing weもっと詳しく
Mooring along the Aquaduct

After powering through, we went through Tamworth we went over the aqueduct. We moored up just after the aqueduct and had some dinner and an early night.
A turning point

This morning we woke up and set sail down the river. We turned left at Fazeley Junction and continued down to the marina. After a quick turn around we set sale back down the river.
Leaky Lock 13

After turning, we set back off along the Aquaduct and up the 2 locks on the way back.
On through the storm

As we progressed along the canal back to the marina it started to rain! We donned our waterproofs and kept pushing through!
A leading light

After making it through the storm we continued up the canal and moored up next to the pub. After a long day of travelling, we had some dinner and went to bed.
Sunrise sailing
