Ličko Petrovo Selo

We stayed at Lyra Hotel in or near the Plitvice Lakes National Park. It's a tiny village with only 170 or so inhabitants. Before the 1990s wars it was almost 2000. There's still lots of reminders of the war. So sad. People left to ave their lives and many didn't return. Buildings are falling down, there's pock marks on buildings from firearms and burn marks. In between there's inhabited houses and guest accommodation. All amidst beautiful mountain landscapes in Croatia near the border with Bosnia.Read more
