Spring has arrived, bringing warmer days, golden sunsets, and blossoms everywhere 🌸

Josh and I kicked off the weekend with a refreshing 5km run. Later, we biked around scouting locations for our mini film photoshoot, ending up at the Amsterdamse Bos…along with what felt like all of Amsterdam 😆 The chaotic crowds were worth it to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom 🌷🌷🐮

On Sunday, I caught up with my friend Anjori which was kind of a bittersweet moment, reflecting on how we met job-hunting and are now both in design roles (and loving it) 🫶Read more

A snapshot of the week:

🩵 Seven straight days of blue skies and sunshine in Amsterdam (!!) had the whole city smiling

🍜 We’ve been loving our colourful meals in our new dinner bowls (yes, they really do make everything look 10x better)

☕️ Thanks to a friend, we scored basically free tickets to the Amsterdam Coffee Festival and spent the day buzzing around with Josh’s uni friends, sipping on all the coffee (and matcha, and tea). Caffeine overload, but 100% worth it

🧚‍♂️ I finally got my hair cut! First one here in Amsterdam and chopped off the last of the dye I had. Feeling fresh and ready for the warmer seasons!Read more

A weekend that felt like summer

This week we soaked up every second of the sunshine ☀️🌸

On Friday Sabine, Bjerke, and Tjade came to visit us in Amstelhoek! Saturday started with a with a stop at the university to hear Josh’s incredible “12 Hours of Jazz” performance which was really well done 😊 After that, we wandered through the local markets, before grabbing delicious Italian sandwiches and sitting by the canal to enjoy them in the sunshine. The day ended with the best Italian pizza for dinner 😋

On Sunday, I caught up with my creative friends and we did a drawing workshop together, very relaxing and inspiring. Felt good to be creative outside of work 🫶

It was really nice to see Sabine, Bjerke and Tjade again and we hope they enjoyed visiting Amsterdam. It made a really nice weekend 💛Read more

Summer feeling

Wow! What a week 🤩🌞🌼 honestly felt so much like summer. The entire week we had temperatures above 15 degrees (highest was 27!) and lots of blue skies 🩵

We had two apartment viewings this week which has been good to get the ball rolling…
I am not sure if I mentioned it here, but Josh and I have to move out of our current place by the end of July 😅 so we are in the process of looking for a new place, which is both stressful and exciting!!

We also had a very fun trip to Belgium on the weekend, I will make a seperate footprint to share those photos (watch this space) ☺️Read more

This past week had such a nice flow 🪷🪷calm weather, sunny skies, and lots of green popping up around us. Summer is definitely on its way so we are soaking it up whenever we can…

Update from us: still doing apartment viewings with no place locked in yet, but we’re taking our time (but trying to not let the silence get to us too much!)

On Sunday, I did a pantograph design workshop, it’s an old technique used for tracing and enlarging images, and it was actually super fun to learn. Slower than digital work, but really satisfying/interesting outcomes 🌠

And this week we are really looking forward to Oma Helga visiting! Can’t wait to show her around Amsterdam 😁😁Read more

Long weekend + Oma Helga visits 🌞

What a week!!! Oma Helga came to visit us, arriving on Tuesday evening 🥰 unfortunately the weather wasn’t so great but we made the most of it. On Wednesday Josh and Oma Helga went and had coffee and a pastry at joshes work (of course) and explored the city of Amsterdam 🌷 On Thursday we went to the Rijks Museum which was interesting and then had a lovely dinner in the garden.
