Before moving on we made a pit stop at the World Peace Bell (which Col ‘donged’ - peace should be here any time). It’s a replica of one in New York and Cowra was specially chosen as the location in Australia.
Also visited the PoW site, where mainly Italians & Japanese were interned in WWII. Not particularly uplifting - history can be like that - but important to a knowledge.
We had a welcome eggs Benedict for brekkie (it’s been a while) then started on the road to Katoomba (Blue Mountains).
The roads were their (now normal) awful selves, with all undercarriages feeling the pain.Read more
