    Blue Mountains

    November 13, 2022 in Australia ⋅ 🌧 16 °C

Today started off in a very unpromising way - mega rain - not what you want where big views are hoped for.

We drove into Katoomba to get some bits and the rain was awful. About an hour later, we came out and the rain had cleared. Was this for real?

There are several ways to see the mountain views: a cable car, the steepest railway in the world, and a very high sky cabin that traverses the highest points of the area.

We did all three rides including a rainforest walk as well. Our ticket allowed us to take each ride multiple times, so we did!

Great afternoon, amazing views, slick operation and each ‘ride’ had its own unique quirk.

By the time we got back to the camp site, the weather was closing in, it had started raining and the day ended as it had begun. Dreich.
