They seem to be the life blood of the central areas we’ve visited here.

Not only are there shops galore, ranging from market stalls to YSL where there is security guard on the door, there are food courts, schools, play areas for kids, places to buy a violin or learn music.

They also connect you via ‘links’ to the MRT, to cross a busy road, to hotels etc.

One cab driver told us they lived in a tiny one room gov sponsored apartment, with only the most rudimentary kitchen. Hence why food courts, with their myriad of outlets are so essential.

We’ve found ourselves taking pics of malls, as these seem to be the new tourist attractions.

Here are some from recent days!
