Burra, calls itself 'An Historic Copper Town and the Merino Capital of the World'. It did not become an official entity until 1940 when the tiny, separate mining communities of Aberdeen, New Aberdeen, Czytaj więcej
A quick stop for lunch and a cup of tea. Historic German settlement known as 'Valley of Hidden Treasures' and famous as the birthplace of author Colin Thiele (Storm Boy etc)

A long drive through the Barossa valley and Adelaide Hills wine regions. Really picked up the traffic and people - many more than we have seen in a week.

Accommodation for the two nights in Hahndorf. Erected in the 1860’s and now very comfortable lodgings. We were upgraded to a spa room !
Wonderful tour of the house and studio after obligatory morning tea. So good seeing where many of Hans Heysen’s pictures were created complete with preparatory drawings along with stories of the Czytaj więcej

Dinner at a great Italian restaurant Ninos. Pizza and wonderful coffee.
The place to see across the causeway from the waterfront. Wonderful old horse drawn tram plies this route. Good views from all round this Little Rock and to the south and east blue water to the Czytaj więcej
