Nantuma

Nantuma (just out of Warramboo) is the name of Rolf and Anne’s property.. approx 5,500 acres. Grain (wheat and barley) and sheep grazing. Bounced around in the Ute looking over the farm with someもっと詳しく
Mount Wudinna

This is the highest point around here with extensive views in all directions. The photo’s are of the view west from about a third of the way up and then a view east from the base on the track toもっと詳しく
Polda rock

A large rock (this is granite rock the same as Mt. Wudinna) with a dam and some tanks built to collect the rain water coming off the rock. Before the arrival of the pipeline this was the towns’もっと詳しく
Pildappa farm

The family farm is now run by Robert (Bert) who is the grandson of original John Kwaterski.
Just a quick visit to touch bases and see the old house.
Pildappa Rock

Single piece of granite approx. 8 acres in size. Water run off from the rock fed tanks (finally a 350 thousand gallon tank) which supplied the surrounding farms before the water pipes came through.もっと詳しく
Minnipa

The closest ‘town’ to the Kwaterski farm and our lunch location today. Not a lot open in the town these days. Some of the family are buried at the cemetery here. John jnr only died 3 months agoもっと詳しく
Venus bay

“Uncle” John’s old shack at Venus Bay (just gone out of the family) - trees were planted by John. Many family summer holidays were had here. Views over the jetty and also on the ocean coast andもっと詳しく
Murphys haystacks

Large lumps of granite in a farmers field… lots more behind and I guess they do look a bit like haystacks. Just off the main road from Venus Bay to Streaky.
Streaky bay

Lunch at the pub in Streaky bay to catch up with cousins. Lots of stories of fishing in the early days here. Incredible colour of the sea.
