Queenstown

A fun Lord of the Rings-themed trek around the Queenstown area with some bonus knowledge gained about the area's gold rush in the 1800s. The 4th photo is of Skipper's Canyon, which the miners had to hike over the mountains to reach. A road to the settlement was so difficult to carve out of the mountainside that it took 7 years to complete.
Oh, and our guide, Jonty, very nonchalantly told us right at the end about which Uruk he played in LOTR. Apparently it's no big deal...Baca lagi
