Departure/Transfer: Frankfurt

We managed to arrive at Fraport right on time to catch our flight to Abu Dhabi from Terminal 2. We got to experience a ride through cable-car / Zahnradbahn (Toothed Railways) like thing here to transfer from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2, and it was interesting. There was a stop where noone was supposed to get down (don't even know why that stop existed). Then we also observed that there was another compartment/bogie to this transport, and only some officers were sitting here.. They were the ones who could get down here. So it is something like a stop for just the officers and the workers here.
In Terminal 2, we were amazed to find that separate security checks were available for each gate (almost) ! We had one of the most thorough security checks of our lives here, don't know if they were that serious because of some smuggling case or then thinking us to be some shady people (I hope it was the first case).
We boarded the flight and we were in for a very pleasant flight to Abu-Dhabi....Leggi altro
