What an amazing place to stay ! Wine chilled in the fridge for us when we arrived ,a fab pool and a beautiful albiiet expensive rooftop restaurant 💕
Wine tasting and the Desert

A lovely relaxing day spent doing our first ever wine tasting , visiting the desert conservation area (a bit sad as so little left of it) and relaxing by the fab pool 🌞
Another rather exepensive meal

We have eaten at the vineyard restaurant both nights first night was best with the most amazing puddings . Total bill was more than the room! Oh well extra lengths in the pool before brekkie in the Czytaj więcej
Goodbye vineyard and hello mountains

Time to move on we have enjoyed our time in the vineyards but it's time to move onwards and upwards quite literally we have a 174 mile drive north to the mountains today 😀

So here we are at Revelstoke gateway to the rockies. There is a bear alert at the hotel so not fancying the outdoor hot tub , good thing we have a jacquzi in our room. Odd assortment of stuffed Czytaj więcej
Hike up Mount Revelstock

I'd like to say we hiked all the way up.but we were able to drive most of the way and just walked the last couple of miles as the road was closed at the top due to snow . We also saw a bear but he run Czytaj więcej

Arrived at Lake Louise

Arrived at our hotel to find very expensive champers had been left for us and an anniversary card . Hotel is in a beautiful location next to a bubbling turquoise stream with amazing views of the Czytaj więcej
Ski lift and more mountains

I got up early to have a jog and to get some coffee after a little wander round the "village' and a trip to the visitor centre we are still a bit confused where to go but try driving to the lake to Czytaj więcej
Learning more about bears

Finding out how to not get scoffed by a big grizzly and then back down the chair lift and back to the hotel , which we have decided looks like it is made of lego 😀
Time for a posh meal

All dressed Up for some posh scoff at the hotel struggled to find a bottle of wine under 50 dollars so not looking forward to the bill when we check out! Back at the room it is finally cold enough to Czytaj więcej
Lake Louise

Up at the crack of dawn to be able to see the lake, even at 8.30 in the morning it is minging max so we take a few photos and then head north for a bit to view the glaciers
Afternoon spa and chill

We spend the afternoon chillin at our beautiful hotel and in the spa having a couples massage which was amazing but even more expensive than the meal ! No pictures of the massage 😀
Back on the road with stop off at Banff

Time to leave our beautiful hotel and move onto our last location. Stopped off at Banff for lunch (very busy) and walked along the river there. Then took a leisurely and scenic route via the mountains
Last stop at Canmore

Here we are at our final stop Canmore on the furthest southern tip of the Rockies. Much quieter than Banff and an actual town rather than just a tourist place it has a lovely laid back feel. We have Czytaj więcej
A big hike

Time for another Parker hike first we walk into Town then via the river up into our first trip into "the wilds" saw some deer but the only bear we saw was the one on the warning sign!
Chillin at Canmore

Downtime today just chillin in our apartment sitting in the hot tub and playing pool. BTW I have zero credit on my phone so sometimes in downtime if I can't get wifi 😀
Walk along Bow River

Just a short walk today (about 6 miles) along the Bow river and back via the town for a much needed coffee! Got a bit lost at the start and ended up in a wood but thankfully no bears around 🐻

Time to pack up . We're on a 10.00pm flight so all day troll around! We have a leisurely breakfast in Canmore before hitting the road, it's Canada 🇨🇦 Day tomorrow so it's well busy everywhere
Trip to Kannaski park

In a last ditch attempt to both spot and photograph a bear we head up into the Kannaski mountains which are a bit quieter than the Rockies.However we only spot some rather moth eaten sheep but find Czytaj więcej
End of the road trip at Calgary

We still a few hours to kill before our flight we decide to try out Calgary for a bit of sight seeing and something to eat . Go up the tower and head downtown for some scoff. Very lively place with Czytaj więcej
