• Last nap before last port day

    7. oktober, South Pacific Ocean ⋅ 🌬 72 °F

Tomorrow we arrive in Noumea. Today, we napped. Erik napped the longest. He isn't feeling well and his nap really showed it. He slept for over 4 hours. I'm just laying here in bed playing games on my phone trying not to disturb him. I need him to feel better for snorkeling and Noumea adventures tomorrow.

Noumea was the U.S. military headquarters during WWII. Apparently they have districts that are named from the influences of that time, like: Receiving, and Motor Pool, of all things.

I'm also going back and looking at some of my posts and please know, I do know English. Sometimes I rush to write my little posts and don't reread them right away so I miss words or misspell words. The posts are for me, as I want to create a fun little photo book about this adventure when we get back home and remember what it was all about, but it's also a way to have family and friends check out what is going on. I think it helps my kids feel a little more connected, assuming they are even reading it. I miss them, if I haven't mentioned it lately.

Erik just woke up, literal seconds after I snapped this photo of him 🤫. Time to get ready for dinner!
