Walking around Noumea

When we got back to port, Erik and I walked around a bit hoping to find something warm to eat and drink because we were a bit cold from our travels back to port.

We didn't find anywhere. At least nowhere good. My French classes on Duolingo did not help me one bit. We walked around the city center building where they had hand painted crafts. I found my shot glass! Then we walked outside and down the road. Most of the shops were all selling the same things: bags, big shirts, and luggage. Really odd. We saw this big church we decided to walk to. It was really pretty. They had a Joan of Arc statue on the side of it. Then we decided to walk to the little park they had down a few streets. It had a fountain and some tiki looking sculptures. They were quite intricate with detail. We meandered our way back to the city center to hop on the shuttle and head back to the ship.Läs mer
