Large chedi in the middle of the jungle, with underground tunnels leading to shrines. Large pond with koi, catfish, and surprisingly large turtles. Very peaceful

Didn't originally set out to visit here but was recommended by our taxi driver and we were very grateful! Lovely Cave with Buddha images, if not a bit run down. Lot of friendly cats.

Stunning views of the Mekong and the surrounding mountains, classic ombre sunset. Unfortunately 4* accommodation which wasn't the best - but definitely an experience for our first night in Laos!

ПутешественникHa, I wish it was sarcasm unfortunately! We had some issues with the room, and then issue with local insects (obviously understand the hotel can't control them though) so let's just say we don't think we'll stay in the middle of the jungle again for a while!

Small, serene, and peaceful wat situated opposite the Royal Palace. Beautiful murals over all the inside, so old that they are wearing away in places while other areas remain vibrant.

Stunning waterfalls, cascades of blue surrounded by lush green. Many interesting insects, and some terrifying spiders.

ПутешественникThankfully the extra large spiders were far away, so couldn't get a good photo. There were many smaller ones which wouldn't show up well on photos either! Very beautiful place

Sanctuary for Sun bears, who are targeted for their bile and its medicinal properties (!?!), some were playing happily while others struggled to get going!
