Shinjuku & Kabukichō #1

After breakfast, I visited Akihabara for the last time of my Journey with the intent to shop a little more and fill the package that I was planning to send home. I bought more Super Famicom Games that were worth 10x as much back home, also three quite inexpensive figures with an Oktoberfest theme and more fridge magnets. Afterwards I finalized the package with all the souvenirs and carried it to the nearby post office. It's horrendously pricy to send something home with EMS and paying import customs, but I don't really have a choice. After bleeding my wallet dry, I took the metro to Shinjuku, where I planned to visit Shinjuku Park Tower, a landmark that I drew in 7th or 8th grade, an awfully long time ago, I almost got a little emotional seeing it in concrete, steel and glass. I explored the underground shopping area of the building and then left in the direction of the iconic metropolitan government building, where I visited the observation Deck, which was free to visit... Amazing :-). The view in all directions was simply stunning. I had a great view on Shinjuku Park Tower too.
