Strange tradition @ Neel Gap

There is an amazing outdoor equipment store at Neel gap and it’s really the first opportunity right on trail to buy supplies. Super nice and helpful people there. Community gathering space, excellent selection. I loved the store but didn’t need to buy much other than a couple specific food items- lots of temptation though. There seems to be a tradition of buying a new pair of boots and throwing your old ones up in the tree out front 🤷 …well my boots are fine for now. Haha.
