🌜Um, an unplanned hotel stay

I hiked about 10 miles to Unicloi Gap and shared some snacks with folks on trail, then I decided to head into town to discover the wonders of Helen GA. These wonders include a lot of gift shops, live bands, Bavarian-styled tutor architecture (faux, but quaint and well maintained), some restaurants and an amazing alpine slide ride. It got dark quickly (spring ahead!) so I tried to get a ride back to the trail but there were no drivers available, and the only taxi service I could get to answer was asking a lot of money for a short ride (not to mention he wanted me to wait an hour for him). So the most logical/safe choice was a hotel, and there are plenty of low price options. Hot shower and some makeshift laundry in the sink will go a long way tonight.
