Little Foot’s pal Maya and her fabulous family picked us up from the trailhead and hosted us for an evening in their home. Maya hiked the AT in 2023 so it was fun to compare stories. Together we enjoyed a lovely meal outside on the deck (a hearty stew with handmade flatbread and a beautiful salad) along with thoughtful snacks and abundant resupply items. Don’t forget the amazing berry cobbler for dessert.

Hot breakfast in the morning, a quick run to the supermarket and back to the trail. It was a whirlwind visit but the special care they put into the hospitality (loaner clothes, our comfy bunk room, anticipating our needs) made it memorable beyond words.Læs mere
