🌜Upper Goose Pond Cabin

We stayed overnight in a modest cabin on upper Goose Pond tonight. The property is owned by the National Park Service and operated by a local AT club. Volunteer caretakers make pancakes and coffee in the morning and there are basic bunk beds with foam mattresses for 15 people . It was late and pretty full when we arrived but everyone got space and we saw many familiar faces.

I noticed there was no electricity here but they did have an old gas lamp in the dining room and a sizable fireplace.Read more
