🌜Camping near Pierce Pond Shelter

At times today was beautiful (pine needle cushioned trails, beautiful ponds, sturdy boardwalks over marshes) but there were long stretches of slippery roots, muddy mayhem, rock hopping- and it was more challenging than I thought it would be for a low elevation day. We lucked out with some breakfast trail magic (roasted potatoes, fruit, snacks) and took a lunch break at a shelter successfully avoiding afternoon showers.
