Stopped off at Heidelburg which was one of the few cities not bombed in the war. Wonderful old streets by the river with a castle over looking the town.

Beautiful town in the Tyrol area of Austria. Has held 3 Winter Olympics. The Olympic stadium was right across the road from our hotel.

The Colosseum

Highlight was visiting the Colosseum. We had a local guide take us through it. Amazing history and to think that we walked through a place that has been there for nearly 2000 years!

St Peter's Basilica

Overwhelmed by the grandeur and size of St Peter's Basilica. It took 110 years to build, completed in 1626. Apparently built on the site where Peter was crucified upside down and then buried.

ПутешественникLove Florence. We got to see the original David 35 years ago. It’s incredible that someone can carve something so perfect from a slab of marble. Michelangelo was such an incredibly intelligent, gifted and talented man.
