    Paul goes to the Football

    Logan organised tickets for he and Paul to go and see Chelsea v Man City playing at Stamford Bridge.
    Where we picked the tickets up from was right where the two teams arrived off their buses, saw them all.
    What was very cool was that it also came with a complementary pass to one of the the lounges, so had a feed before the match.
    Great game seeing some of the best footballers in the world.
    Oh ... Sam, dad bought you a new Chelsea T-shirt, looks kind of like the one he's wearing in the photos!
    After the football the 3 of us caught up for dinner. Such a nice evening that we ate at an outside table.    Les mer

    Tower Of London

    Walked to see the Tower of London. Have heard the stories of imprisonment and the chopping off of the odd Queen's head, but hadn't appreciated the size of it. Hadn't appreciated that it was a palace, a fort, an armoury, a mint, as well as a prison and that now it's home to the Royal Crown Jewels.
    A really interesting and insightful visit.    Les mer

    Paramore @ Wembley Stadium

    One of our main highlights and catalyst for the trip was to see Logan play at Wembley Stadium.

    We needed to catch two underground trains to get there. Which turned out to be rather easy as we simply followed a whole lot of girls wearing sprangles. Sprangles being Paul's word for sparkly stuff. Never seen so much sprangle in all our lives.

    At the stadium we met up with nephew Ryan who is holidaying in the UK for a few weeks. We found the ticket box where Logan had organised tickets for us. We were in block 252 and found the concourse for it. We found a nice assistant who, when we showed our tickets, said 'follow me and I'll take you to your seats, as 252 is not shown anywhere'. We thought this a little strange until when we got there we found ourselves in the Royal Box Lounge. Our tickets were some of the best seats in the house!

    Paramore did not disappoint. We've seen Logan play with them a few times now, but this was very special! Fantastic show, goes to show those music lessons paid off. Proud parents!    Les mer

    Brunch and Farewell Loges

    Caught up one last time with Logan. He has this amazing ability to find really nice places for coffee and brunch. This place was called Ozone Coffee. Had a lovely brunch and catch up with him before saying our good byes. Will see him next at Christmas.Les mer

    Churchill's War Room

    While Lyn went looking at shops Paul visited Churchill's War Room. These are the bunkers around the corner from Downing St that Churchill, military and Parliament planned and oversaw WW2.

    Incredibly fascinating to think of the ramifications of the discussions and decisions made inside these rooms.Les mer

    Our time in the UK comes to an end

    Our time in London and the UK has come to an end. Tomorrow we embark on our tour of Europe.

    The Apex Temple Court Hotel was excellent and the location was ideal for our walking and train stations.

    So much walking, so many steps.

    Underground and trains, easy once you get the hang of it.

    So thankful for such wonderful weather.    Les mer
