    Great spot. Nice and level (tell dad). a good shop today without lots of mithering from the kids! Reversing camera sprang back into life so one less thing for Matt to fix. Roast chicken in the oven. Who is having a quick go at body boarding before dinner. Weather looks Set to be good tomorrow after a rainy and cloudy couple of days.Read more

    Met some artisan peddlers that we made friends with. Fernando, the Amazonian, Jose from Chile, Jose and his dog Peepo plus a few others. The boys now have a huge collection of friendship bracelets and clay faces.
    Carpark full of motorhomes. The bread van comes in the morning and peeps the horn for people to buy bread, pastries or Spanish pizza!

    It is a festival here all of August. Tonight was a re-enactment using giant chess board of the Spanish armada. Luckily we were stood next to Francis Drake. Very beautiful old town just treating the boys to their first paella. Hopefully they will eat it.Read more

    So after all of the mechanical issues with Elvis, we finally got back on track and arrived at Vedra to stay at the beautiful house with William and Conchita. They had made a little bed up for one of the boys as they only had a double room available. They were very Hospitable and by the time we arrived in the tiny village Elvis had already arrived and been fixed. Oh, and they have kittens. Lots of kittens.Read more

    I swim in the pool this morning, but it was quite overcast so was quite cold. Then lots and lots of kids in action. Drove into Santiago this afternoon and had a walk about the old town and visited the breathtaking cathedral. Beautiful city but very very touristy.Read more

    After a lovely day in PonteVedra we have now crossed the border into Portugal and have pulled up in a surfers paradise. Currently next to 3 or four hippy vans playing punk rock. Boys in their element with three dogs for them to throw sticks for. There is a surf School here and we are 20 m from the beach.Read more

    Inland a little bit today. A beautiful mediaeval town. Apparently the oldest town in Portugal with a mediaeval bridge. Beautiful old buildings and church and Castle to walk along the top of the balconies in the town. Some sort of concert tonight as there is a large stage set up by the river banks.A really beautiful Old-fashioned grocery store with ladders to get to The top of the shelves. Let’s get a hat I said.     Rather than climb the famous Baroque steps that are over 100 m. We took the funicular railway. Felix and Oscar all over the engineering.
