Kili trail madness

After fetching our rental car, named "Wish" we practised our driving skills, hitting a couple speed humps a little too fast, before arriving in Simba Farm, a beautiful lodge / campsite which was the base camp for the Kili Trail run, a collection of runs over the "roof of Africa", the foothills of Mnt Kilimanjaro. We were treated to some luxury meals and made friends with the other volunteers. We did have to work pretty hard on the Saturday cheering on the crazy runners, but also got the opportunity to explore the mountain a little. Sunday I woke up in the depths of a cold that would plague me for the next couple of weeks. But we decided to push on hoping that I would get better in the car, and Anna had itchy feet so to say, her new favourite term.Baca lagi
