After a quick food shop and book shop at Vinnies we left Port Lincoln and drove the 50kms to Coffin Bay NP to spend 2 nights at the remote Morgans Landing campground.
Once we were off the sealed road of the park we deflated the tyres to 20psi on the front and 25psi on the back, the track has deep ruts, narrow passes & soft sandy sections. There was a sand drift across a beach section of the track and as it was just coming off high tide we were unable to get through. I went for a swim and then we walked along the beach track for about 1.3kms to check the conditions further along. After waiting about 2 hours we decided it was safe to continue on.
Reached Morgan’s Landing at 4.45pm, which is at the western end of stunning Seven Mile beach, this remote and secluded campground is nestled among a grove of shady paperbark trees behind a low coastal fore dune.
