Last night we put up all our canvas walls - the rain came but only briefly. Very overcast this morning with sprinkling rain so we put up the walls to protect the access ladder to the rooftop tent. NowBaca lagi

On to the Barry Way, the first section is bitumen then turns to gravel all the way to the border (road is signposted not suitable for caravans or semi-trailers)

A couple of kms on we found a perfect overnight spot (5kms from the border) - not a marked campsite, but right on the Snowy River with a little beach area. Took our Coolcabana down to the beach for aBaca lagi

PengembaraThere are so many great huts in the Victorian Highlands......that's where I did my 5 day hike, starting at Lovett's Hut.....may not be near you, but we looked to our left to Mt Bulla as we were walking along a ridge.
PengembaraDo you mean Lovicks Hut? Not near us, we’re on the Bogong Plains Rd which leads to Falls Creek. This time of year would be good for your hike.

PengembaraReminds me of the roads on The Coromandel Peninsula many years ago- had to use the horn to warn oncoming traffic - no music on the radio allowed !

A peaceful trail in north eastern Victoria, located in between Falls Creek and Mount Beauty. This out and back route begins and ends from the trailhead of Bogong High Plains Road.
Tawonga Gap

Driving the winding road that links Mt. Beauty to Bright we stopped at the Tawonga Gap with fabulous views of Victoria’s highest peak, Mount Bogong and the Kiewa Valley.
