    Trolley in Ketchikan

    June 27, 2024 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 17 °C

We took a trolley south to Herring Cove for wildlife viewing and were super lucky with some bear activity! The third bear we saw started hunting salmon in the river right before our eyes, while a bald eagle screeched at him over head! Next was the sudden stop along the coast since our driver, Jeff, noticed whale action. A whale and her calf repeatedly waved and breached for a good 10 minutes. SO AMAZING with binoculars too!
Finally we went to the native village of Saxman to visit the world's largest collection of totem poles.
