  • Trevi fountain

    After the Quirinale palace, we walked through the ancient center of Rome to reach the iconic Trevi fountain. The small square is always quite crowded, but admiring this amazing landmark in the great spring weather is a fantastic experience.En savoir plus

    Walking through the city center we passed nearby this ancient Roman temple. It is fascinating how history is embedded in every place of the city with ancient buildings melted in the modern structures.

    The pantheon was an ancient temple dedicated to all gods, then turned into a church and now hosting tombs of many famous artists and the first kings of Italy. The circular structure creates a particular atmosphere and you can perceive a vibrant mix of ancient memories, arts and Italy history.En savoir plus

  • Piazza del popolo

    The second day starts from Piazza del popolo. A vast square with twin cathedrals, a fountain and statues all around. The place is often used for events and unluckily there was one just before our arrival so part of the square was occupied by stands.En savoir plus

  • Circo massimo

    The next stop in today's tour was Circo massimo. This used to be a huge place for events and games back in ancient Rome, able to host up to 300k people. The place is now a huge free area where events are still organised. It's amazing to think about how this place should have been in the past.En savoir plus

    We walked from Circo Massimo to Altare della Patria and along the street you can see ancient history blending with modern streets and houses. Rome has a really fascinating atmosphere

    Altare della Patria is another iconic stop in Rome. It celebrated the king Vittorio Emanuele II and the Italian nation. The monument is huge with a solemn atmosphere even if packed with tourists all day. A nice view of the city from the top repays you for climbing up under the sun.En savoir plus

  • Domus Aurea

    In the afternoon we planned a guided tour in the Domus Aurea. This is nowadays an underground tour to explore what remains of the ancient huge building made by emperor Nerone as his house. The place is really fascinating including a VR tour to have an idea of how the area looked in the past. A really great experience, a hidden gem of Rome.En savoir plus
