Spent the day in Padua as did thousands celebrating the May Day holiday. The majority of these were Indian who filled the piazza in front of the Basilica and the nearby gardens. Posters celebrating St Anthony were in Bengali - absolutely no idea what was going on. Rather a drab and modern city otherwise.Read more
