850km of fortresses. Hackenberg largest and first built (1929-1935). Push munition through manually from main line. Monorail system for moving munitions boxes. Troops from Alsace did forced work in Germany for a year then became a German soldier. Blast door close in 5 sec. 12 days at a time in ft. Then 4 days rest outside. Filtration rooms purify in and out air. Water system for heating to 20 Celsius. 21 soldiers in turret room. 2 inside the turret. 1940 one shell didn't fire brought turret down when hit floor it fired badly wounding operators.En savoir plus
