• On our way

Today was a long day, I’m so tired right now, but this morning was a lot of waiting around. We got up to head to the ferry and a reindeer walked right in front of the car! Then we saw the other dude on the side of the road that looked like a wise old wizard! We got the ferry and it was more like a normal one and you couldn’t stay in your car so we bundled up and went outside and it wasn’t that bad! Not too cold, not too windy, pretty nice! Plus the mountains all around were gorgeous!! And we crossed into the Arctic circle! In the photo of the two of us in between us is a white spot - that is a marker for the Arctic circle latitude line! So that was fun! We also had another rainbow behind us the second half of the trip! So that was nice too! We were also lucky that it didn’t start really raining until we got off the boat. As we were driving off the rain came!

Then it was a quick drive to the next ferry, but the next ferry didn’t leave for over an hour so we waited around there again. It was sunnier over there which was nice and that ferry was super quick. Really all the other ferries we have taken all left every 15-20 min so I didn’t think to look at the schedule for these ones beforehand, but I am glad I did yesterday! I guess there is not as much demand up here, especially in the off season. There weren’t very many cars on either one today so that would make sense it doesn’t run that often.

Then it was on to the Svartisen viewpoint which was super cloudy when we got there, but had to wait for the boat to take us for our glacier hike and while we were waiting it cleared up and got super sunny! Next up pics from our hike!
