After San Quirico d'Orcia we headed on to Pienza which was the busiest town with tourists we have been to so far (not counting larger cities where it is mostly people who live there). I’m not sure why this one was more popular than others, but it was another small cute town. There was a small food market at the entrance to the town and a small food festival as well! They didn’t have a lot of vegan options, but we spied just in case. We were just in time for lunch and tried a place that had a lot of Tuscan food that happens to be vegan. We had a tomato bruschetta, Fagioli all’Uccelletto (beans in tomato sauce - this was so good! By far the best of everything we had!), Ribollita (bean and bread soup - we both agreed this was way better than we expected), and pici pasta with garlic tomato sauce.
