Münster Day 1

We got to Münster just at sunset and we had reserved a parking space at the place we are staying, which I was glad we did! The parking situation is kind of crazy and cars were parked willy nilly on the street and that would have stressed me out trying to find a place to park and trying to figure out if we could actually park there…

Once we got settled we headed out to spy on the Christmas markets. There are 6 in town and the first one we went to was so busy you couldn’t move, and that was one of the smaller outside of downtown ones so I thought we might not be able to wander any of them if they are that busy. We can just come back tomorrow…but lucky the rest of them weren’t bad! The city was weirdly dark trying to walk around except for the Main Street which was lined with white buildings (though they might have helped make it lighter!). So not a ton of photos as it was to dark to see most things, but we did have a nice spy at the markets and found some things we are going to go back for for lunch tomorrow (and found some vegan schmalzkuchen - fried dough with cinnamon sugar which we have never seen ones we could eat before so we had to try them. Pretty tasty!)

It was a nice wander and tomorrow we will explore the city more when we can actually see things! Should be fun!Read more
