Gosau 1.1

Today we got up and headed on to our next Krampus stop Bad Goisern! It wasn’t that far from where we were so we had lots of time to kill before check in. This is the same place we went last year for Krampus and I remembered going to the small Christmas market in Gosau and how beautiful the area was. So I looked to see if there were any nice not too long not too hard hikes in the area and found and 8km one walking along this valley with gorgeous views of the mountains! So off we headed for that.

When we woke up it was so foggy, even worse than yesterday! I thought oh that will be sad if we can’t see the mountains, but as soon as we got over the first set there by Berchtesgaden it suddenly was clear! And sunny! And stayed mostly sunny all day!

The drive was gorgeous! Those first four mountain photos are on the way that Raymond took (the first photo is the cute decor the place we were staying at had!). We got to Gosau and headed off for our hike and it was wonderful! The mountains were so pretty, there was snow, it was cold but not too cold, it was perfect! I loved it! Wandering through the woods, through some small towns, it was great! We walked a ways towards the Christmas market we had gone to, and we could have walked the whole way there but it would have been 16km round trip and with it getting dark so early we definitely did not have the time. Plus yesterday was a long day so we wanted an easier one today. Czytaj więcej
